I love you anyway

The love of a man for his spouse despite her shortcomings.

I love the way you scratch your nose,
Pick your teeth and suck your toes.
Dress up in my favourite clothes,
with high heeled shoes and panty hose.

I love the way you talk the talk,
Sing the song and walk the walk.
Eat your eggs and beans and pork,
Use your fingers not the fork.

Love the way you drink your booze
Always win and never lose
buy clothes that you never use
hit me where I show no bruise

Red clothes that you always buy
Seem to match your one good eye
Even when I ask you why
The yellow ones you never try

I'll give a penny for your thoughts
Your head is full of ones and noughts.
On nose and chin are several warts.
But I love you anyway…......

Before I laughed, I kept thinking this was written by a woman about her man!

Nobody's perfect,
not even me.
she's a sight for sore eyes,
a treat to see.
Nobody's perfect,
and I bought her act.
But I love her still,
and that's a fact.

Beside Still Waters by Jill Eisnaugle

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
