I loved the way you talked the talk, sang the song and walked the walk.
Ate your eggs and beans and pork, used the knife and not the fork.
I gave a penny for your thoughts, your head was full of ones and noughts.
You were so shallow and easily bought, I chased you then and now I’m caught.
So grab applause and take a bow, I loved you once and still do now.
You left me with a rusty plough and took away my favourite cow.
So if you see this stupid rhyme, while sipping on your gin and lime.
Spare a thought for what I am, a sad and broken, lonely man.
