From Ambassador Arn (Aeros)

What do these humans know,
these diminutive creatures who
begin the descent into decay
even before they reach prime;
these backward creatures,
so little knowing, yet
with such great hearts.
One thinks them lost,
with their many wars, their crimes,
their passion --
yet it is this very passion that
steps forth when things
are at their worst, and
humans become their best.
Reaching out to the stricken,
feeding the hungry,
rebuilding what was lost.
Yes, they know something --
something of redemption.
They will be a welcome addition to
the community of the stars,
if they don't kill themselves first.
