Slowly turning patchwork glory:
granite monarchs parade,
their regal trains of green
cascading down their backs
in reverent hush.
The rising sun illumines
gold and crimson crowns;
misty shrouds still linger
across purple shoulders,
lending mystery to awe.
With a single piercing cry,
he pays homage,
wings outstretched, immersed
in the glorious light
of a brand new day.
As the mountains rule the landscape,
he rules the skies, and flies
where one can only soar
with the imagination.
Through an eagles eye, so focused and sharp to see through all that is and find the core, unbelieveably well written....

You bring up a good point I often think about Dallas. It has to do with the so-called Matrix we live in. The entire realm of human affairs that so touches and consumes our lives leaving us to feel we're in an imaginary prison. But then when you step back and think about it, there are all these other worlds that exist side by side to ours. Like a carousel all moving in a circle. An eagle occupies the same world we do, yet flies above it and is totally unscathed by whether or not taxes go up or down, etc. In other words, there's so much more to life right in front of us. We may be self-proclaimed kings of the realm; but ask the eagle if he cares about that as he soars above you floating on uplifting thermals.
