Poem Artwork

I tapped Time on its shoulder
and it paused for me, granting me
"Between the Measures of Time" moments
just as it had done for me
so often, before.

I yearned to escape into a reality
where I could linger in infinity's arms
pillowed within cosmic ecstasy
where atoms and sub-particles dance.

There I could merge with a love force
that has flown since before earth's birth.
There I could blissfully linger
where eternity and spirit are one.

And so, Time paused for me
granting me favor ... briefly
letting me rest in a realm of sanity.

Yet all too soon
Time again caught up with me
pulling me within the moment
placing me back into life's "now."

You drifted in and out of the continuum beautifully Gwen, from time into infinity and back again journeying into celestial realms of quiet time. Wondrously done! Thanks for the trip!

Very very cool way of expressing those moments where times seems to stand still for us. Writing does that for me. I love the graceful manner in which you expressed it here. Beautiful work!

Right down to the quarks.

The poem is well wed with the painting.

Guess you took some time out.

AS one must. Love how you capture it here, enabling me to relate.

Sharp thinking poem...

Drifting and dreaming. Beautiful poem, Gwen. Funny that no matter how far afield our imaginations run, we find we're anchored to the present. Nice capture.
Best regards,
Leland
