My celestial angel

Her smile was a magic wand, that acted like an invigorating balm and recalled to my mind the resplendent sun

Her laughter a melody, that rippled through my being and eased the strangest of my malady

Her form a sculpture, the mere sight of which could transport me to an ecstatic rapture

Her touch a rivulet of cold water, to wet my parched lips and desiccated tongue


Her love a majestic mountain, proud, unperturbed, standing amidst a silver cloud

Her faith an inspiration to scale the unscalable and to dream the impossible dream

Her care enough to ease away all trace of my anxiety, and embolden me to reach out to ideals lofty and beyond my realm

Her longing for my love but inflamed my love ever more, as though try as I might but for my life I could find no better purpose


I shall ever remember my friend's love, should embers of coal disappear from my hearth and should no one love me again till my last breath

I shall ever be mindful of the exuberant joy, that pervaded my being and engulfed my breath like no other thing since my birth

I shall ever be grateful for her unconditional love, that will forever outdo the most desolate of circumstance with mere memory of its mirth

Why, I can never find anything akin to my friend's love, if I should but scavenge the whole earth
