Some of my new friends ASK, WHY { Not a Poet }

This should answer that, I hope LOL

{ Not a Poet and I Know it }

Some people have asked this question of me
Why I'm { Not a Poet } you see

I know not the inner works; of this thing they call poetry
It just comes from deep within my heart, right out here to me

In the past I have spilled, my feelings into poetry
Just to be put down, and told you can't write you see

Well I never insisted I was a poet wannabe
I just have feelings like all the rest you see

To confess your love, can't be a sin
For it's my deepest feelings within

So now I just write my poetry anyway
Not caring what the others have to say

If like me you can not spell
I'm sure you have spell check as well

If deep feelings you have to write, for your heart to mend
Don't let others hold you back and put chains on your golden pen

Methinks you under estimate your work. Nicely done. Patrick

Just dip that quill in the ink of inspiration
And let it flow, every word you'll write,
Will shine
Peace be with you

Maybe what you need for an explanation is to first join the dysfunctional family of Eds, started with three but Ma kept on going busy and now we have brothers and sisters, cousins and crash-gates coming out the woods.
To no be a poet requires a diploma and I bet you haven't got any...yet.
But as long you mke the ladies sighhhhhhhhhhh!.......

Hi Ray, From the pen of a true poet!!! No feeling in the writer, no feeling in the reader. No tears for the writer, no tears for the reader. No laughs for the writer, no laughs for the reader. I don't know who wrote that quote, but it should have been you, my friend. Stay strong, and keep your pen dancing... I have a feeling you're going to need it... ;)

Bear

Oh my predious sweet man you and I have
talked about this many times. You have not
written on thing that has not either deeply
touched my heart or left me in total hysterical
laughter. My friend oh how I wish the past men of
my life could know muchless express their hearts a
fraction as well as you not only know but so talently
express... My Sweet A Poet you are and as friends go

You write the way I do, it just comes naturally, as breathing - without it, we would die - keep writing, hear? Enjoy what you have to say.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Bravo!

Poetry is about emotion...and/or thought-provoking.
So, there you go!

Break those chains, Ray, and write on.
The only poet you have to please is you.
For what it's worth, I like the way you
play with words. Have fun. -gene.
