They keep on

passing by

the the days when reason

seems to hide,

when all you read

is negative words

no ones thinking

with a positive verb,

just with sadness

many things unheard.

Like the human race

is in depression

has no way out

just negative obsession,

with wars that are counted

with the dead

children badly underfed

bank accounts all gone negative

unemployed looking

so tired and desperate.

Turn aside

from such measured words

that bind you were

deserted

left as unloved

even by God

because you read

so much negative stuff.

Look beyond the closed eye

see what could be

if things were right,

believe they can

believe they will

then rise above

this negative world.
