When I was a nurse, I used to know many people who had cancer, this is about them.
*You think your alright* *over the worst* *then something happens that makes you unsure,* *you dont tell a soul* *keep it inside* *thinking your fears* *are best if they hide.* *like waiting forever* *till you hear the results,* *its alright your all clear* *the cancer has gone.* *Not sure if you believe them then it sinks in* *those are the words* *that you have been waiting to hear* *now you can breath* *move on without fear.*

Great poem. My best friend's sister has battled through bladder cancer and breast cancer and is in remission from both, all at age 40- this poem reminded me of a story my friend told me about how her sister couldn't believe she was in remission from the breast cancer and was almost not believing the doctors- it must be hard to believe after all the ups and downs and horrors that are cancer. Thanks for posting this, i think it will help many.
