I put down my feelings With paper and pen Too scared and confused to speak I wait for the moment When all will be right And my heart is not so weak Don't you see it in my eyes? Can't you feel it in my touch? Won't you see through my disguise? Am I asking too much? I listen for hours To family and friends Who say I am much too unkind But they couldn't know They couldn't see That it's all suppressed in my mind Can't you feel it in my touch? Don't you see it in my eyes? Am I asking too much? Won't you see through my disguise? Sometimes I remember I mostly forget To tell people just how I feel Mostly in anger But sometimes in tears The feelings begin to unreel I wish you'd see it in my eyes I wish you'd feel it in my touch I wish you'd see through my disguise Could I be asking too much? I wish I could tell you My innermost thoughts That I put down with paper and pen Until I can share them And open my heart I'll probably cry once again

Poets and writers in general for the most part tend to be tender hearted and often sensitive, we cannot express orally what we can commit to paper so easily. You have written from your heart and soul in this write and it shows. Sad theme but so well done.
