it had been a whole year...
since she received communion
it had been that long since testifying
with bread and wine...of their spiritual union
she didn't know the congregation...
it wasn't even her church
but His words...'as often as you do this'...
convicted her ...so, she laid aside her search
with adoring...she received the blessed tokens
in remembrance of His final earthly hours
with gratitude...she recalled His victory over death
...the keys in His hands...His power
and it was with Love...He welcomed her return...
with a spiritual kiss...in fact
and she...in reverent response...
kissed her Savior...back
this was not a time to fringe indifference
no...not a moment to be coy
this was a time of exuberent insistence
this was a time...of tearful joy
