For Christians all over the world, this is 'Passion Week'. Some may wonder...just what is this 'Passion' that is celebrated with such revered remembrance? Well, this is it; over two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ displayed the Truest and Deepest of all Passions. And He did it for a cause that no one had ever done before...nor... has ever done since. I say this because what I find so amazingly beautiful and awesome about this ultimate display of Passion is that it was done 'Selflessly' and entirely for LOVE!!! Not love of close-ties like friends, neighbors, family or for those that Loved Him in return, because many good men would die for these. But consider...it was for those who hated and rejected Him. EVERYTHING He went through, He did not go through for Himself...but for the entire world! Think about it! Salvation, which is the forgiveness of our sins, is the 'timeless product' of our God's...Passion! His Love! Yes! Our God's 'elected' Suffering was for you and for me! And we were then and still are, 'all' sinners, not worthy of His Suffering... His Passion. He knew it. But He did it for us anyway. Thus, let us...remember... His one-of-a-kind...Love...His Passion!

Passion...? we speak of it, yet we hardly know Let me share this truth, if you will please, bare with me, as this seed I sow… Passion! Going forth from town to town He chose twelve to be by His side He set his face like flint and healed many while teaching words of life and guide He declared truth...He was the Messiah the promised...chosen one though many rebuked and spurned Him He did not stop...He would not run Passion! The temple leaders hated Him... a threat to their so called 'authority' He knew they plotted and schemed… to take His life...on a tree Yes...He was aware of their plans, yet He did not flinch nor did He falter but called upon His Father...saying Your will be done...do not alter Passion! He was beaten and scourged His precious head crowned with thorns but there was no dissuasion...no complaint He was silent...without even a faltering mourn So committed to His task...He never looked back His only goal…was to pave the way His envisioned ...us…there…with Him… in our eternal home…one day Passion! There was never regret, even as the nails ripped through His flesh into the wood wasn't He able to call His angels...to stop them?! Yes! indeed...He could! But...if…He had shielded Himself...if He had responded with omnipotent display then we would not have the...Gift of ...Salvation ...today Passion! A spear...pierced His side out poured water and blood the beginning of mercy and grace that eternal cleansing flood For a dying world... only He could withstand satan's buffet And He loved us so much…! *He suffered it…all...for our profit* Passion! I give you arms...that will ever protect you lips...that have never lied strength...that will keep you safe through storm and high tide I give you warmth... when the world is so...cold a sustainer in perilous times… with a spirit of faith...that will make you bold! I give you a doctor, a lawyer and a counselor …a restorer and a friend A tireless faithful provider who will be with you…until the very end I give you…The One…who’ll ever treasure you I give you the Way, the Truth and the Light! I give you a Living, Risen Savior who denied us 'nothing’ not even His very...Life! I GIVE YOU JESUS!!! I give you true ... PASSION! ...this is a rare glimpse into what it truly means to live, for Christ... and it moves those of us who know what it means to live for Christ... so often we say things like "I admire your passion," but when you put it like this... the definition of the word defies comprehension... and moves us ever farther towards his undying grace... which would be impossible, were it not for his incredible passion...

...thanks so much for your sensitivity to detail... you grasp of what is beyond most is truly a study in passion!

I give you 'Him'...who treasures you
I give you the Way, the Truth and the Light!
I give you a living, risen Savior
Who denied us 'nothing'...even his very life!
The bottom line goes way past all human understanding.
That's why He is truly The Messiah!
No human would love us that much. But Jesus Did! Amen

Adam and Eve lost their perfection through disobedience and we inherited that sin. The only way for redemption was through Christ whose sacrifice would forgive us as long as we repent for our own sins. The love God has for us is proven in his giving his only begotten son for the rest of us. Well told, Joyce
