It seems like only yesterday... 

that I, so wretched...and so blue

came before Thee, O God... 

not realizing how much I needed You.   

Seems like only yesterday...I,  

wanting my own way, was compassed  

with my own ignorance and pride. 

Filled with my own thoughts  

and totally blind to Your point of view,   

it was only yesterday, it seems…I cried. 

I was unable to see...The Light 

for the darkness of the day... 

so much so that…wrong, appeared to be right. 

Yet, here I am, years later...with 

You alone, Dear Jesus, 

having won the battle for my…sight!   

Thank You that the person I once was 

You changed... 

I will never forget, nor be ashamed 

of Salvation’s Beautiful Gift 

for which You did so dearly pay... 

may it forever, to me…
