IT'S a...FACADE!

We are living in a time of ‘Games’. This is a time when, sadly, most embrace a... Façade! We are ‘Blind’ to the consequences of the ‘Games’ that are being played.
Let's "Wake up" and Press-on, Amen!

Poem Artwork

There are Games going on…

a practice that has spread…near and yon

Games…full of rank and rancor

that have poisoned…Humanity’s Love…sore

It has seeped across all the earth’s land

being played diligently by young and old…hand

It attacks the due of the deserving by stressing…

such acts…that wrests our Foundation’s Blessing

With a contaminated bandage labeled, modern times…

it requires a sign for rendering...charity chimes

A stalking evil, the Game is rigidly shaped…

whereby a mere kindness demands a knee scrape

How can one trust those controlled by this position…

when God Freely Provides...without... a condition?

For, what should pour readily from a…good heart

is weighed for a groveled beg…to impart

This so sad manipulation has become a social plight

that shields and turns what is wrong…into right

And those blind ones who ride upon its course

ignore completely the price, ere…the terrible cost!

Society deludes themselves; ‘I’m really kind, but…’

forgetting what flows from within is love or rut

What a shame, even our sanctuaries bare this…wring

as this worldly show is practiced for a monetary ring

Thus, where rebuke from the pulpit should be in place

the 'Word of God' is placated in a compromised race

But you ask, if…most are doing it…why not?!?

you forget the warning…of the wide and narrow…lot

Dare we cuddle this vile practice that persists...

when we’re clearly warned of the damnation that exist?

Alas! gone are the days when ‘Fear of God’ ruled…

for Biblical Teachings are twisted into a mean gruel

But the tragedy that really protrudes and stands-out…

is the fear instilled at the rejection of this oppressive grout

For so many are aware of this sway’s wicked bite

but do silence their conscience…afraid to fight

So, what’ll they do on fast-approaching…Judgment Day…

when every supported evil deed …will be on display?

Consider; this practice is not new, bible times saw it too

bought were temple favors, for which nothing was due

And what of the martyrs who indeed bore the…first pain

did they stand for naught, was their faith…in vain?

And, oh, how this heart aches and does bleed…

for the entire universe’s…innocent seed!

Who are taught from the cradle to demand a price

for liberties already paid by the Blood of Jesus Christ!

Wake up! Wake up! Those asleep in your…tents!

Games are going on…for which we must repent!

For the streets which seem paved with gold…that most trod

are leading straight to…Hell!  Wake-up! It’s a Facade!

here is a poem that speaks forth such profound truth about today's reality...a lot here to ponder. I found myself being sad, yet also being hopeful. Sad that I see myself in need to examining my own heart, and asking the Lord to show me any wayward way within me,...yet you so clearly point to the Hope, and the only remedy: Jesus Christ, the unique Son of God! THANK YOU for sharing this one with me, and all of us, JMS BELL. May your poem continue to to used by the Holy Spirit, and may our Lord be exalted in every reader's eyes.

I agree we are living in a time of games. There is so mush mistrust and evilness in todays world!!!WHAT happened to the good ole American WAY? Years ago I thought it was there , but now I wonder! I do not like todays world or the ones who rule and govern us . They have dishonored our country and all who valiently fought for freedoms cause. We are heading toward the end of days. PRAY DAILY FOR OUR LORD TO HELP US! AMEN.................... THIS IS A MUCH NEEDED POWERFUL WRITE!

A TRUE BLUE POEM, JOYCE! We will ALL die eventually. It's God's eternal equalizer. The choice we make now is if we want to live on the dark side or live with the giver of light. People are hoping to make it through this crisis without too much damage to their life-style. But this life is so temporary. I have little concern for myself but for my family, that's another matter. HAVE A HAPPY EASTER! Amen

Oh! I am with you! I just keep holding on to the main mast, God. His word as He meant it. These fools who try to USE Him....I'm not judging because I'm a sinner and I am forgiven. That's all I know for sure. I love the way you write!

Love ya!

Wow! Sad is where it has come to. I really want no part of it. I am not sure I have a choice. Love and peace to you, Joyce...
