I CRY

What?!? Shall our Redeemer have shed tears…but we not?! It’s alright to weep, it’s all part of ‘The Journey’. Let’s press on, Amen!

Poem Artwork

There are moments…times…when…

I cry

Yes, during an hour when there is just…

Him and I…

And, holding me tight, Salvation’s Dove…

Catches my weeping in His bottle of Love

Yet, take not this…bare

As a sign of despair

For when sighs…stored in my dry stall

suddenly rise and begin to freely fall…

Such tears that noiselessly cascade down

Are used by Him to glisten a waiting crown

Albeit, not angst but relief is felt, when…

in the witness of my Savior’s eyes…

I gratefully turn to Him and, indeed…sometimes

…I cry

Psalm 56:8, Lk 19:41-42, John 11:35, 2Tim 4:7-8

Such a moving poem that is filled with truth, because I cry too when alone with Him!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Shedding tears, that you allude to here, can be a sacred experience, and a very deep emotion indeed, an act of purification.
