Scales! Mine, yours, ours…others

my, my…how they do differ!

We fully grasp…that with repentance the weight

of our debts…flew…as we were forgiven

But we don’t take the time to walk in shoes of those

who too… have been wayward driven

Using not the scales upon which our trespasses

were duly weighed and alleviated

We search with venge for scales…altered

with balances …unfairly…weighted

Oh, that our scales were equal and the pardon

we so gladly received from God ourselves

Would readily and bountifully…without angst…

be extended to others…as well
