One moment things might be fine, but the next, in the twinkle of an eye…something occurs that takes away our peace. However, we have the antidote for such problems that pop up out-of-the-blue; His Name is Jesus! Let’s press on, amen.

Poem Artwork

In an Eye’s Twinkle…

Like the rising

from a whip’s welt

the entrance of tyranny

is surely felt

Stinging and hurting

it deliberately burns

intensifying the harshness

of our concerns

However, it only takes

an elevated mind…allowing

His comforting abide…to seep

Negating… intruding presence

which through a…window crack…

did creep

And as we quickly…

anoint the mar with prayer…

healing cascades from above

With that invasion…soothed

thereby the Power of

His Love

...In an Eye’s Twinkle

Isaiah 65:24, Psalm 94:19

I agree. I have experienced this as I am quite sure most have. Things seem fine and then, in the twinkling of an eye, catastrophe strikes. I think of Ukraine right now. Thus, your words are most apt and timely. Love, peace, and blessings to you, Joyce,

Regis. 🙏🌷🌳💚🌲

A twinkle of an eye is usually a gesture of goodness and merriment. But you've used it here a bode of bad will. But I believe I understand what you are providing us with in this clever poem.

Indeed, it is amazing how in a moment, everything can change for the better or for the worse. That's why we need to hold onto and remember "the one thing needful". Then, no matter what happens, the true reality is always there.

Stuff You Can Say Everyday by D. Mullis

My son wrote a book of his personal, one liner quotes. Never underestimate the power of simple statements! A very interesting read!
