We can become pretty discouraged as we live from day to day. It is nothing less than Glorious, when our faith, that had taken a terrible beating, suddenly resurges...lighting our pathway and enabling us to press-on with marked assurance.

Suddenly…

I can see the light

I have no fear…no fright

Suddenly…

The 'heaviness' has disappeared

I can feel God’s Presence near

Suddenly…

I take hold of …Him

who is anchor and shield

...I ‘know’ He’s real!

With His sweet visitation

there is no more hesitation…

without a shadow of a doubt

I’m convinced He’ll bring me out

In moonlight refreshing like a new day…

Jesus, has shown me the way

And it happened, oh so…

Suddenly!

I like your premise in this poem. After a long drought, sometimes things happen suddenly, so that we see and feel the light. Inspirational as always

There is beauty and reassurance throughout this entire piece. We cannot expect to go through life without meeting obstacles on the bumpy road we travel. What comfort there is to know we have Him as our Anchor and Shield to protect us along the way. Thank you for reminding us that He is there at every turn.
