There are no prayers like your own. Fall on your knees, open your mouth and Trust the Holy Spirit to do what the Word of God says.... He will do. Pressing on.

Quite often, from others… we seek for prayers and intercessions… indeed, we ask them for… fervent pleas but, we must not forget… there are no prayers like our own… whereby we ourselves turn to God faithfully. Avoid stress… abandon the search for perfect words as the Holy Spirit who sees our hearts intercedes for us… unheard our God can be accessed… anytime when we believe and reach, by faith… to touch…The Divine. In order that a ‘connection’ … with Him be established, a relationship must be…yearned albeit, this can only occur when one strives for the familiarity…of discern. Entering that doorless chamber… we will find Him waiting patiently for us there… where sincere implores are encouraged with tenderness and merciful stare. There is a hymn that goes like this… ‘the arms of flesh will fail you… you dare not even trust your own’ thus, what if… those on whom you…depend… for prayer are suddenly…indisposed… leaving you seemingly, alone? Consider… no such problem can ever disrupt… one’s own…well-established link as He is at our disposal, ever listening… all we need do is…think. There is an assurance… when one determines to pursue that frequently-neglected goal… of solidifying our walk with God with a…one-on-one console. Now, this is key… discard the third-person-need… as, God loves us all and has no favorites thus, open that line between …you and He. For, although…within some trusted walls of friendship prayers are made for others…fine remember…there are no greater prayers than those of … the Personal Kind. I feel we are the body of believers and when ever the body needs it's members touched it reaches for each other in Spirit intercession but I do know our own prayers are the most powerful if we say them in Spirit and truth. Great message and medicine for the soul Joyce!

MY...WHAT AN AFFIRMATION OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH RONALD'S REVIEW HAS MADE! HE HAS SUBSTANTIATED THAT THOSE OF US WHO FOLLOW CHRIST WILL BE SEEN AS BEING...'PECULIAR'(MENTAL?). YES, INDEED WE GO THERE...WE HAVE NO LIMITS AS TO AMOUNT OF TRUST WE HAVE IN OUR GOD(SEE 1PET 2:9, HEB 11:1, ROM 1:17 & ROM 8:28). FOR WE LIVE BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT! REMEMBER TO PRAY, ALWAYS... AS YOU PRESS ON, AMEN.

While I understand, particularly those that have mental problems, prayer can be a form of meditation when the world becomes overwhelming and difficult to navigate, I don't pray.

Other than that psychological effect, prayer does not change anything regarding the outcome of future events. While I pause often during the day just to relax and stop thinking about all pressing problems that I'm dealing with, I never pray and find that most of the time things turn out for the better and I don't have to worry about them anymore.

But I will never throw my hands say something like, "it's God's will!" When things go badly. I just knuckle down and come up with an alternate way to deal with it like I always have. Relying on my own thoughts and actions rather than some entity that doesn't exist.

Indeed, prayer is such a personal thing. We must all find our own way when it comes to our relationship with the mystery of God. Lovely poem full of inspiration.

The Holy Spirit, who sees our hearts, intercedes for us, but there are no better prayers than the personal kind. Come, Holy Spirit, and make our day twice as good as yesterday! Thank you, Joyce! This is a very spirit-filled reminder of how we should start our day. This poem is among the best I have read in a long time. Love & Christ Blessings,
