Free will and selfish choices play into our becoming who God intended us to be. Growing into His purpose sometimes takes time. Inspiring pen, Joyce.

We have here a universal conundrum, knowledge vs. free will. Perhaps the word "preordained" is getting in the way here. No one like to think that things are preordained, therefore, there is no point to anything that we do. But there is an alternative understanding. Our destiny is lived within the context of a fixed time, a destiny that although it may be in the knowledge of God, is still willed by the human entity. In much the same way that the mother knows what the child will do (in most cases), the child still ends up doing what it wants. Anyway, it's worth thinking about and trying to come to an understanding of the possibilities.

I'm sorry, Joyce. My destiny was not preordained. If it was, I would not try to do better, because the outcome had already been determined.

Everything that I do, every day, is not predetermined. The paths I take every day result in the outcome at the end of the day when I go to bed and sleep well most nights. I try not to harm people in my actions the day before. The Golden Rule works for me and determines my destiny. And the Golden Rule did not come from your god almighty.

There is great danger in following a god almighty like our current United States president.
