When difficult times show up, remember… God has overcome the world!
Let’s Press on...

Poem Artwork

When our faith has grown weak…

Permitting doubt’s…insecurity knock…

It is Jehovah who does unlock…

The repair…our tattered emotions seek.

We oft can’t pin-point what the exact problem is…

Because in our lives…there can be so much going on

Yet, with His ardent token of a recalled word, or song

We are pulled up and out of the draining sieve.

Then an all-encompassing qualm, quietly…

Cajoles us to pray, to breathe…to sigh

And, as we are restored 'the will' to, yet again…try…

He proceeds to overcome all that we cannot…relieve.

Oh, how precious is such an hour, that elicits…

The feeling of once again standing safely…on solid ground

A much-needed treasure which is… profound

When…insecurity…visits

GREAT READ! Insecurity visits all all of us at times. I think it is how we approach it and try to overcome some of the problems involved!

Planning and resourcefulness can both avert insecurity. But when the best laid out plans go awry, we have to be calm and be as resourceful as we can to survive.

You may be referring to the reversal of civil rights happening in our country driven by money and white supremacy. The pendulum will swing back when the people realize that they are being suckered into thinking that they will benefit when they don't.

Simply put, but deeply felt, JMS Bell. Insecurity is a universal human experience. All of us (in sundry ways) go through it, no matter how strong (or nonexistent) ones faith is. Bottom line: I refuse to be defined by my worst moments. Overcoming is not a one time performance. Everything good we gain from our struggles far outweighs the struggles themselves. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are well. rlc

Your poem carries a quiet strength, tracing the way insecurity can soften into trust when grace meets us in our most fragile moments. The imagery of being lifted from the “draining sieve” into steadier ground feels both tender and true. It’s a comforting reminder of how restoration often arrives gently, almost imperceptibly, yet completely.
