Till Death Do Us Part
His body riddled with pain
Never once did he complain.
Her mind destroyed with disease
She had hundreds of needs.
Alzheimer’s tearing them apart
Gently tugging at his heart.
He knew no matter what
He would never stop.
Loving her, cherishing her
Kissing her always.
Her wants were his needs
Promises of love for an eternity.
“Where is my wedding ring?”
She cried out one day.
So, many, many times
She had hidden it away.
Trembling hands, aching knees
He knew he wouldn’t stop
Until he found her ring
Hidden away inside a box.
She was his wife, his life
As a soldier, his duty
As a husband, his promise
Deep within his heart
Till death do us part.

Praise The Lord!!
A few simple words saying so much. Thank you, Liz
This is so sad and tear jerking. This shows what true love is, for better or worse.
