A Cry for Help

A Cry for Help She was only five years old Grandparents reported abuse Trying to protect her They were her voice A cry for help. Daddy manipulated the court Mommy continued to protect him. Grandparents were told Not their business - when there is A cry for help. Daddy continues to hurt. Mommy continues to yell. Somedays Mommy acts brave And, keeps him away. Reality, she’s still in denial. With fire in his eyes A hand around her throat. He lifted her off the ground In a choke-hold. She’s only nine years old. Hand mark still visible Mommy asked what happened. She said a boy hit her. Several days later... A cry for help. Mommy and Daddy Read it and weep. As her Grandparents We will repeat – we will report Her cry for help. Deborah Ann Tornillo Copyright© 2010

i also write for child abuse..this hurts but its real. This is an awesome write, one everyone should read.

The laws are gradually changing and grandparents and other relatives are finally getting more say in what happens to these young children who are victims of parental abuse. Sad write but well done and an important message.
