A lot of people are lost in America but only one ethnic group is lost.
My people are living in desperation, They are fear ridden and without real hope; Children are crying for love and affection; We are America's lost living all alone. (Refrain) Come help my people and don't let them perish They are endangered and could become extinct; Give them their just due and reparations too; We are America's lost living all alone. O brothers and sisters this is your struggle, Help save your race that could become extinct; And we are losing too many every day; We are America's lost seeking help from you. Sickness and poverty have us in bondage, This wouldn't be happening if justice prevailed; The rich get richer and the poor get poorer; We are America's lost seeking help from you. We ask all people to help rescue us, We are in a crisis and we need you now; The strong can help the weak live in dignity. We are America's lost living all alone. --- {Further illumination: Americans of African descent, called by various aliases, stand alone, as the ethnic group, partly because of the legacy of slavery, as America's most abused, denied and despised citizens. In a certain way they are lost in a sea of whitenes and multiethnicity designed to keep them at the bottom and with the huge influx of legal and undocumented immigrants given preference in the labor market Americans of African descent are now considered by the dominant race to be less and less necessary or dispensabe.} Copyright 2005 by Uriah J. What about all the poor "white" people and American Indians and Hispanics and Chinese and Jews and Italians and on and on? The TRUTH is that many humans are suffering, regardless of their race.

Actually, there are many successful and affluent African Americans living in the USA. How did they get there if they're so put down as you claim? Are they helping your race or any other?

In truth, it's now more difficult for a white male to get a job in the US than it is for any "minority", regardless of qualifications. It's also more difficult to terminate the employment of a "minority",
regardless of performance.

Well I have always loved the culture and their songs but here lately it seems that the Mexican people are treated the same way. Too bad we can realize we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. I tell you my African American neighbors are the best and I despise someone putting them down. But then do not people realize that essentially we are all from Africa. Look it up in the bible. Tell that one to the next bigot because it is true.

so sad that the african americans are still treated this way; such a damn shame! we need to wise up and learn to accept them and treat them with the dignity and respect that they so badly deserve! well done, uriah; powerful, heartbreaking poem!
