SOUND OF MUSIC FROM A WATERFALL

There is music within your soul. To listen to your
music you may have to connect with an external source
that will cause your soul to sing.

There is a waterfall with three natural fountains located in a
slated-bottom stream within walking distance of my home.
It is nestled among trees.

Except for the singing birds and periodic visits of butterflies
no other creature is in sight. The sound of music from the
waterfall is constant. I frequent this waterfall several times a
week to receive nourishment for my soul.

Once I am at my favorite spot I sit on a fallen tree on the
edge of the bank of the stream which is some seven  feet
above the flowing stream and watch and listen to the
fountain-like sound of the waterfall. I find it to be
enchanting. The music is heavenly and instantaneously
I feel inspired and calmness comes over me.

Sometimes I close my eyes and at other times I foccus
visually on the waterfall while listening to the sound of
the music from the waterfall. Then I take seven breathes,
inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly just before
verbalizing this mantra-like meditation:
Om.. Om... Om...
I am meditating:
It is quiet within me and all is calm;
My senses are asleep and I am in
the depth of my subconscious;
I am fully surrendered to the only
Cosmic Power there is. I am at peace...
I am at peace... I am at peace... .

With my eyes closed I sit in silence for five or ten
minutes. Moving some twenty feet upstream I sit
near the edge of the stream and listen to the sound
of the waterfall that is louder than it was downstream,
but no less or more soothing to the ears and heart
and beautiful.

After about fiftfeen minutes, I walk slowly for not
more than a quarter of a mile, stopping at times,
according to how I feel. Before leaving the woods
I offer a prayer of thanksgiving to the Cosmic Source.

Walking home I feel invigorated. Sometimes I sing to
the tune of the sound of music from the waterfall that
remains in the repertoire of my soul.
