Neither my quiet desperation or panicing primal-like streaming attracted anyone from the uncaring throng that paraded before me.
It was as if I had been abandoned by humankind and cast on no-man's island.
Then I took off my mask and ceased pretending to be someone or something I was not.
And my brothers and my sisters came to me.
They accepted me as I was, loved me, and empowered me to be myself, to love myself, and to reach out to others.

It's wonderful to be alive, to love and be loved. Wow!
