This poem is a little something I cooked up. Pardon the pun. I believe in capital punishment if the crime is so deserving. If you take a precious life you should be willing to give yours. If you can't pay the price, " be nice."

Currents rage to posess
every occupied nerve cell,
destroying the data
contained within them.

Every limb exposed fights
to remain intact.
They hold, but sense the vulnerability,
to the point of explosion.

The mind beckons insanity
to entertain a moment of relief.
Never have so many hair follicles
marched to the pipers tune.

Odors of burnt flesh and cordite
fill the nasal passages.
Hundreds of tiny pores expand
to expose naked blood vessels.

It is over. The final second is
memory for he who watches.
For the executed, an eternity
has begun.
