Reminds me of the great Jack London novel. I have a weak spot for animals. This poem makes me want to rush in and save this wolf, despite the fact that I would be bitten because Man has forced him to mistrust. The third verse especially got me....

wonderful write - almost a prayer for wolves ... I have high respect for them, and they are too often maligned. Thank you for this touching poem.
