A gentle ocean breeze,carried
by an incoming tide, slowly
embraces my senses. On a moonlit
horizon small sailboats carve their
course to unknown destinations.

Stars seem to be lighting the way,
some actually touching. They
appear vulnerable only to starboard
where a one degree turn could
mean completely falling over the edge.

Expert guidance and steady hands
assure that disaster will not occur.
Bows cut deep into a purple sea
where calmness and currents form
in a quite wake.

Eons of wonder lay before me.
Moments of reality caress
my feet as cool salt water
revives the mind and soul.
Dreams are only peaceful memories.
