**To Youth**

I can't twist your solid heart,
and I can't tear your love apart,
but all I can and all I will,
is tell you that I love you still.

I can't play your heartstrings' tune,
and I can't lure you back so soon,
but all I know, and all I see,
is that we've always meant to be.

You can't change the way I'm bound,
but you can't leave the love you found,
but all you dare, and all you say,
is we'll know how to do things one day.

You can't walk away from this,
we've been together since that kiss,
unsure to stay, but fools to run,
we both know what's been done.

For love's first kiss has held us here
where we have freely grown,
encased in sweet captivity,
that we have made our home.

I can totally relate to the message in your verses, Charlotte; even though, I suppose I am not considered a member of the "youth" club anymore. I sure feel just the same and as young as ever when I read you. Thank you. Love and peace. Regis

I think the last verse justifies what Phillip wrote and I agree.
