No one came to my rescue.
I called for help. I cried for help.
But no one came to my rescue.
I wept! I screamed! I pleaded!
But no one came. No one responded.
Could they not hear my voice?
Could they not understand my language?
Did I say what they could not hear?
Or did they simply not care?
Were they just not interested?
I was old, so they didn't care.
Not a celebrity, so they didn't care.
No one special, so they didn't care.
I was Nobody, and Nobody cared.
