A writing friend challenged me to write a "lipogram"; a poem containing the absence of ANY letter of the alphabet in its' wording! I chose to NOT use the letter "E"....this was the result and it was a lot of fun to do.
Pining away on a hot, hot day
Wishing I was in a boat on a bay
Wind in my sails and grin on my lips
Floating along happy thoughts in my drift.
I’d sail my boat to a spot far away
And watch as dolphins frolic and play
But alas I am not in that bay in my boat
Just taking a bath with my toy boat to float!
