"Multa novit vulpes, verum echinus unum magnum"

The hedgehog and the fox were talking one fine day.
The fox said to the hedgehog "I have many things to say.
I know the sun is more than what earth can give away.
The planet earth is all there is beneath our feet of clay."

The hedgehog said to mister fox, "The sun is all we are.
Only one of all the stars, but it is all ours.
We think that we are many, but we are only light,
but far away beyond the dark, we're but a speck of white."

The fox said to the hedgehog, "The world is very small,
composed of smalls and smaller things and things smaller than small."
Hedgehog replied, "The world is tall and taller still than tall,
and all we are and we shall be belongs to one and all."

Archilochus listened in and noted down their words,
paid close attention to the wisdom that he overheard,
and this is what he wrote down when the two were done:
"a fox knows many things, but a hedgehog only one."
