while the young of the year grow and fledge the adults lose their old flight feathers ...
after the molt the geese take flight- mid summer wings

Hey, I'd like to be that old goose let loose amidst all the groovy young chicks, wouldn't you?! Forever young and free to fly! Shame us adults so often have too much cabin baggage hanging around which inhibits our flight - junk, most of it, too! I like this molten write, John - smooth like chocolate! Light and carefree.
