or

the importance of [NOT] being earnest.

There is G.D. grinch around here!
Unreformed unrepentant out to steal.
He is a sneak, a master of disguise,
he looks normal, like a banker, or a politician
or you or me, slight worry lines and
concerned smile, not withstanding.
He’ll steal your todays and
blight your tomorrows,
with his earnestness.
He is such an earnest chap,
everything is important
sky failingly important.
Economic Downturn –
end of the world as we know it.
Political crisis in Parliament –
end of the world was we know it.
Winter’s coming –
it's end of the world as we know it.
Christmas is coming – got to do it right
perfect, perfect, perfect or it’ll be the end of the world
as we know it.
There is nothing that is not
world shattering ;
Nothing we should laugh at.
Well, I got news for you, Mr. G.
none of these things are important.
not even a little bit. you got troubles
I got troubles, we got troubles
they aint important;
the sky aint falling
that white stuff is snow
falling from the heavens.
winter’s promise to spring.
Lighten up, man, go play in the snow
get a cardboard box and go sliding,
strap on the skates grab a stick,
and a bunch of 10 yr olds, and
go play shinny on the pond until
it’s too dark to see the puck
Problems, we got problems?
Aye that we do but
we've got answers, too.
more answers than problems
Answers you will only find by playing
in the snow

VERY Good. My sentiments exactly and your way of expressing these truths stimulate in me a joy which surpasses all adversity. Well done. Love the" you've got trouble, they've got trouble, we've got trouble." lines. Reminiscent of " there's trouble in Denmark, and there's trouble in Denver city. Way cool.
Cheers J'nia

Delightful, John, no quicker way to get rid of the Grinchies than to play in the snow, be a child again! Well done!
