I came across some poems by Wilfred Owen this soldier poet was killed in France in 1918 a week before the Armistice. Alas his themes are as relevant now as then
the sun slashes down through riven clouds of cannon smoke illumining the wreck of nations their pride and their fears doomed youth, innocence sacrificed to the wretched reality of the cynical calculations of nations, lie dead in the sun’s bloody light shattered bodies amid the fractured death conceived engines of destruction. with which they fought shattering other such youth such machines the sun settles down to bed in a red sky but no shepherds delight will the morrow bring, only blood and the slaughter of innocence …

In the title, did you mean Sunset? Or the sin of war setting on man, yet again? Those that forget history, it's been said, are condemned to repeat it. POWERFUL sharing, how soon we forget!
