we merge; beyond is where
we are connected – bound to
friends and lovers, rivals
and enemies; tied with bonds
strong as chains, as light as
thought. there is no law
there save that of love . . .

so gather your heart and your courage
and open your being to the tide
let it carry you where it will
deep past the margin of you soul .
so go there beyond your ken,
go beyond and dare the madness,
face the danger of heart’s desire:
be one with friend and stranger . . .
