stupid regrets haunt the
shadows of my room and
the cluttered crevasses of
my fractured froward heart
long night spent longing
for the light i do not have
made dark by ignoring
the light that i do have
stupid regret filled poet
bogged down in youthful
folly fondly looking back to
that which never was

I've had nights like that... fantastic lyrical quality these lines have... thanks :)
I too can relate...in fact I have more poems than I'd like to admit written with similar feelings in mind.....makes us human I guess. Nicely done John.
