Not The Same By: Sarah Tagert Your things remain The essence of you But it’s not the same Life goes on Almost as before But it’s not the same There’s an empty, aching, Void in my heart That tells my mind It‘s not the same You’ve gone from my sight But still a special part of me Life without you, It’s not the same Written for my Great-Aunt Margaret, Who left this world on October 1st, 2001
This was my first poem, I wrote it about the poet that inspired me the most
