Warm Summer's breeze A Wihtered Yellow Rose Rode silent thermals Swirling onto my lawn. Just minutes past The beauty of a dawn Carried From a nearby garden Withered and dry. Within my hand I hold her dear As I remember My love for her Spans for years. The brilliant yellow Of it's wondrous past Has gone now to the heaven Of hues Brown and bridle I still hold her, within my grasp. I feel life, The bridle softening Her thorns hardening The yellow rejuvenating As I open, to expose The miracle within my hand. Her beauty I hold Deep in my heart Her image I keep Eternally in my mind Where the colors, of the rainbow All reside. By: William Bonilla 3/05/04
