How great it is
To wake in the morning
Knowing one is alive
How do I know
I'm Alive?
Because of the pain
That over powers
My everyday functions
To once again
Act normal
As in days of yesteryear
When the sun awaken me
In the glorious of the mornings
Stretching my body
To the point of ecstasy
And yawning
Youthfully jumping out of bed
exercising, here ands there
Breathing in the new days
fresh air
Thanking God I'm Alive
In silent prayers
Now I struggle to my feet
Wondering only of what
I thought was pride
Thanking God, I'm Alive.

There is what we all strive,
To awaken and be fully alive,
Otherwise, dead we would be,
Not a pleasant afterthought,
Herein have I caught...

But I am happy I "caught" this poem, it is right on, I think we all do the same...Peace thru Words, Ed & Rufuz
