Went for a stroll
Along the beach
Trying to break a block
Without inspration
I'm unable to reach
My desires.

Searching for thoughts
Seeking to to inspire
Not the sky
Nor the stars, in her eyes.

Not the birds
with their lovely songs
Not the sand
Blest with children
Digging holes.

While parents watch
Wanting to go home
Not the boardwalk
Filled
With joggers and walking folks.

Soon I found myself
Tired
The trying, was choking me
Like a yoke.

I had no desire
Even the air liner
Just flying overhead
Had not made me inspired.

I'll just go home
Humming a song
Returning
Tomorrow, hoping for desire.

Dear William,

We all have our moments...
Sometimes the more we seek
the less we find, so let it
happen when it does.
Very insightful write :)

Warm hugs

Your desire blossoms and spills onto this page, William, so things are not that dire.

William, desire will come again and the birds will sing endlessly inside your heart until you release with song and your pen the journey they are taking you on. Tomorrow when you awake a face of beauty will appear before you for translation into words. Bill Murray

Great description of a mood many of us know all too well. I keep telling myself: There are times for planting and times for harvesting. Franz

Put on your bathing suit and go for a swim,
Maybe then your muse will work and give you a win,
The cool water on your body, will also keep you thin,
What can it hurt, maybe a shark you will meet,
That will give you start, getting those creative juices flowing again...

Peace, Ed & Rufuz

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani

“The woman or man who is a poet, or fiction writer, or playwright, or all of these, is engaged constantly in a jazz ballet of vocabularies, passions, genders, histories, perspectives, death, love, and life. The music of revelation announces itself to
