Awaken, Early in the morning Still dark, In the heaven's skies Unable to extract Your loveliness, from my mind. Drawing back the cutains At awe, before me is the birth, of a promised New day Gracefully arriving my way. Hues changing Along the gray Horizon's way Lonely As a broken heart Will ever stay. Ceaseless, is the ocean As it's crashing waves Softly assaults, it's shores Like the steady rhythm Of a love song. From my room, the ocean is silent I am unable To listen, to her rhyming With the sand pipers Feeding along the beach. New thoughts emerge with the brightness Of new rays, shinning down My soul's ways blessing this wonderful Sunny New Day. By: William Bonilla 8/29/04
