Demons struggling
Within
Tangled, bitter roots
Deep in the soul
Of despair
Unseen from righteous eyes
Where the abyss
Welcomes
Sulfuric furnace stench
All prayers fade
Before reaching, their ends
Souls unborn
Yet rulers, of demonic
Dark ages, of old
not murdering for gold
but for the love
Of spilling blood
Ganges Khan , Atilla The Hun
Just to name a few
Oh Lord
Why was the abyss
Of the dark ages
Over looked
When it overflowed
With
Hoards of raw meat eating
demons.

gut-wrenching cry to a God who can seem absent in the face of demonic forces but who hears that cry from the depth and holds us in our questioning

Deep, Dark, and a question many ask when we fall into those dreadful days of bottomless pits. Well Done, William.
