Rejuvenation

I created her
From canvass, acrylic and horse hair
A gray shadow
against a background
Brushed red.

Her lips are full
Pronounced to sensuality
With pride
I displayed her.

Greedily hoarding her
As a treasure
Time and deterioation
Has taken it's toll.

I discovered her hidden
Discarded in storage
I was shrouded with sadness
reminiscing of moments
Past.

When I received, great pleasure
With each stroke of my brush
As still, she stood
On her easel.

I dusted her
patiently touching her up
Rejuvenating her
Back to perfection.

Once Again
She illuminates any room
Like an angel
On the wall.

I enjoying writings about the past. I imagine a young person, painting, or trying to paint, someone he loved. And then discovering it years later. That's just my take. Very good and spurred my imagination. Thanks.
