Yellow T'was the full moon
Behind a haze of clouds
On this hot humid, night of doom
Near the swamp, The beast
Hears ruffling of dry leaves
He crouches deep, low onto his fours
Ready to pounce like never before
He listens, smells and sniffs the air around him
The scent of warm blood, lingers in the air
Pulsating through young vibrant veins
Mouth watering saliva dribbling
Down the side of his fangs
Stealthily he listens, with anticipation.

He hears them, smells them
Taste buds can taste them
They are getting closer
He see red blood and hearts beating
Aglow in the darkness
Smells the menstruating of one of them
He must key his senses, to the other
Unable to stop the flow of saliva
Begins to growl deeper, The night aides him
With it's howling winds
Rushing through the leaveless trees
Stupid creatures, lumbering through the woods
So noisily, raely traveling alone.

They approach within, ten feet
He pounces, upon the one selected
With a monstrous growl, grabbing his prey
Sinking his fangs, deep into it's throat
Unable to breathe, his eyes roll to the back of his head
The young youthful lad, went limp, like a wet rag
The beast shook his head, side to side, viciously
Ripping his tender throat apart
Grooooooooooooowl, feasting upon him.

The lad's mate a young blonde
Ran towards the nearby town
In uttered horror, screaming and mumbling incoherently
All the way, like a crazy woman
The ploice chief, attended to her
Piecing together enough information,
To arm some men, driving to the location
Where they discovered, a half eaten, human body
Throat ripped apart, thighs and buttocks
Eaten to the bone.

Over twenty miles away
At the crack of dawn
A stranger wakes in his cabin
Disoriented, naked and covered in blood
Wolf's bloody paw prints
Leading to his bed.

Yes those young ones taste the best, but the older they do get, the more meat on their bones...but if they are torn apart how can they keep the bloodline going? Gotta just take what is needed for sustenance, leaving them whole enough to become one of us...

Just a little advice from an elder werewolf who has been around...ED

Well....No breakfast for me! This was chilling. I wanted to hold my hand over my eyes and make a peep-hole like I used to do at the movies.

The Wolfman Returns! Very Good, William.

I always liked those old Lon Chaney Jr. Wolfman movies, too.

Well my friend William...this was some gruesome tale you tell. The imagery was perfect for this holiday treat.
The wolfman is a scary and eerie nightmare that one can always put into vision when reading about him.
Well done!
