PREJUDICE
Leaves A sour taste in my mouth
Maggots, infesting the human brain
Which brings me to the following write


Fort Apache

A lazy hot Sunday
Here Today
At our gated community
Of over fity-five.

We affectionally call Fort Apache
Due to the fencing in,
Of the entire complex
We find ourselves
Hot and bored as usual.

Most residents prefer indoor
Activities
Some play Golf
Hitting and chasing a ball
Dah!

Prejudice
Is like an annoying insect
Making their way, into any area
They wish to infest
Here is no difference.

Children are all born innocent
Bigots are molded, from children
The ones here
Say they are glad.

A proposed theater, for the area
Near Fort Apache, was denied
For fear of "gang Banggers" they say
Referring
To the ethnic make up
Of the beautiful
Surrounding communities

Of which, all are new homes
Mostly occupied by
Middle class hard working hispanics
Already, without cause
The bigots
Find themselves in a panic.

So to you the bigots
Within, Fort Apache
I say onto you
"Wake up ass holes"
And smell the coffee.

Get your heads out your ass
Whichever comes first
The folks around you
Thirst for liberty
For the same right as you
We are americans all
So
(I hate to say cliches)
"Can we all, get along"
