Time allows me, to savor the facts
hey look here I am
I thought
so therefore I am
A mind that meters
My morning pain
so pity me, not
It makes me feel alive
These Morning pain
If I complain
It won't be long
after the first few steps
My joints will lubicate themselves
subsiding the pain
stiffness conquered
No need to sail to spain
To celebrate, not feeling the pain
Nor dancing in the rain
in those chill high Plains
Here I do just fine
with my trusted cane
As I now begin
To illegally feed the cranes
But who cares
It's mid day
I no longer, feel the morning pains.

William you write for so many of us....I live for these lines of yours....
It's mid day
I no longer, feel the morning pains....

just be glad that you have the warmth of southern sun instead the chill of the northern snow to ease those morning pains
Peace and love my friend, Carole

It is interesting that as we get older, we seem to take pain for granted and just accept that it is a temporary situation. In a strange way, pain is a reminder that we are still alive. My desire to live and see the beauty that surrounds me exceeds my desire to give into my aches and pains. Growing older is not for sissys!
Very nice write, William.
Take care,
Sherry

Glad to hear the old 'morning pains' don't slow you down too much, William. And glad to hear you still 'illegally feed' those marvelous cranes - life would be no fun at all if we followed all the rules!

William, I know just how you feel! It's hell getting old. But we make the best of it, and we feed those cranes anyway.
Grand write.
