Say Buddy!
Can you Spare some Change
Trying to collect enough
For a hot meal
I'm hungry need to dine
So can you at least
Spare Me a dime.
~*~
I'm not an addic,
Don't drink no wine
Just hustling Spare Change
I am out here some times
Please Buddy! can you Spare A Dine.
~*~
It's cold out here
Just these rags to keep me warm
Released from prison
Have no place,
to call a home.
So buddy!
can you Spare some Change.
~*~
Swept many floors,
for Coffee and soup
Wrapped in news papers
I've slept by some doors,
~*~
Keeping myself warm
Know what I mean, my friend?
often thinking of a home
So can you Sapre me some Change.
~*~
A bow of soup, a piece of bread
Some hot coffee
would really go down fine
So Buddy!
Can You at least Spare me a Dime?
It seems that society can do nothing about this problem in our world, but I like to think as an individual we can spare a dime for those less fortunate. When I give I don't think of where the money will be spent but rather that I have tried to help and if it doesn't God knows I tried. Excellent compassionate write William!
I agree with Andy, as I have tried to do this but those that ask for change for food on the street rarely allow me to take them for food...so unfortunately I get suspicious of everyone asking for money...still a sad write about our society, Bill...Ed & Rufuz

Great message. Better to take him for his meal, rather than give possible drug money?
Sad world for those in this position; even sadder for our society that does such a poor job of contending with the problem. Our flawed sense of humanity is costly indeed...
Well done, William.

If America
Becomes a Cashless country
what would bums beg for...
