Reflection In A Pool

The day is hot
The sun hides behind clouds
Blocking out poisonous rays
The pool is warm.

A breeze in the air
Is soft and gentle
Over powered by chlorine
Cools my wet skin
Clear, pale green, shimmering
waters of a disturb pool.

I search for inspiration
Thoughts
Without ratification
No one around me, to see the pain
As I attempt to exit the pool
Those who don't see,
Don't believe.

I try not to explain the obvious
The pool has become my playground
Where I move with ease
Making fancy footwork
Look easy.

Looking kind of cool
For a man who walks with a cane
I exit
While looking at my reflection
In the distorted waters of the pool
Not too cool.

We all truly need some type of playground to make us feel alive and invigorated. Glad you found yours, William.
